When failing the driver probe because of invalid firmware properties,
the GTDT driver unmaps the interrupt that it mapped earlier.
However, it never checks whether the mapping of the interrupt actially
succeeded. Even more, should the firmware report an illegal interrupt
number that overlaps with the GIC SGI range, this can result in an
IPI being unmapped, and subsequent fireworks (as reported by Dann
Frazier).
Rework the driver to have a slightly saner behaviour and actually
check whether the interrupt has been mapped before unmapping things.

Address issue observed on real world system with suboptimal IORT table
where DMA masks of PCI devices would get set to 0 as result.
iort_dma_setup() would query the root complex'/named component IORT
entry for a DMA mask, and use that over the one the device has been
configured with earlier.
Ideally we want to use the minimum mask of what the IORT contains for
the root complex and what the device was configured with.

We recently introduced a 1 GB sized ZONE_DMA to cater for platforms
incorporating masters that can address less than 32 bits of DMA, in
particular the Raspberry Pi 4, which has 4 or 8 GB of DRAM, but has
peripherals that can only address up to 1 GB (and its PCIe host
bridge can only access the bottom 3 GB)
Instructing the DMA layer about these limitations is straight-forward,
even though we had to fix some issues regarding memory limits set in
the IORT for named components, and regarding the handling of ACPI _DMA
methods. However, the DMA layer also needs to be able to allocate
memory that is guaranteed to meet those DMA constraints, for bounce
buffering as well as allocating the backing for consistent mappings.
This is why the 1 GB ZONE_DMA was introduced recently. Unfortunately,
it turns out the having a 1 GB ZONE_DMA as well as a ZONE_DMA32 causes
problems with kdump, and potentially in other places where allocations
cannot cross zone boundaries. Therefore, we should avoid having two
separate DMA zones when possible.
So let's do an early scan of the IORT, and only create the ZONE_DMA
if we encounter any devices that need it. This puts the burden on
the firmware to describe such limitations in the IORT, which may be
redundant (and less precise) if _DMA methods are also being provided.
However, it should be noted that this situation is highly unusual for
arm64 ACPI machines. Also, the DMA subsystem still gives precedence to
the _DMA method if implemented, and so we will not lose the ability to
perform streaming DMA outside the ZONE_DMA if the _DMA method permits
it.

Split out all the bits that are purely for dma_map_ops implementations
and related code into a new <linux/dma-map-ops.h> header so that they
don't get pulled into all the drivers. That also means the architecture
specific <asm/dma-mapping.h> is not pulled in by <linux/dma-mapping.h>
any more, which leads to a missing includes that were pulled in by the
x86 or arm versions in a few not overly portable drivers.

Several ACPI static tables contain references to proximity domains.
ACPI 6.3 has clarified that only entries in SRAT may define a new
domain (sec 5.2.16).
Those tables described in the ACPI spec have additional clarifying text.
NFIT: Table 5-132,
"Integer that represents the proximity domain to which the memory
belongs. This number must match with corresponding entry in the
SRAT table."
HMAT: Table 5-145,
"... This number must match with the corresponding entry in the SRAT
table's processor affinity structure ... if the initiator is a processor,
or the Generic Initiator Affinity Structure if the initiator is a generic
initiator".
IORT and DMAR are defined by external specifications.
Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O Rev 3.1 does not make any
explicit statements, but the general SRAT statement above will still apply.

In conclusion, any proximity domain specified in these tables, should be a
reference to a proximity domain also found in SRAT, and they should not be
able to instantiate a new domain. Hence we switch to pxm_to_node() which
will only return existing nodes.

The new field 'dma_range_map' in struct device is used to facilitate the
use of single or multiple offsets between mapping regions of cpu addrs and
dma addrs. It subsumes the role of "dev->dma_pfn_offset" which was only
capable of holding a single uniform offset and had no region bounds
checking.
The function of_dma_get_range() has been modified so that it takes a single
argument -- the device node -- and returns a map, NULL, or an error code.
The map is an array that holds the information regarding the DMA regions.
Each range entry contains the address offset, the cpu_start address, the
dma_start address, and the size of the region.
of_dma_configure() is the typical manner to set range offsets but there are
a number of ad hoc assignments to "dev->dma_pfn_offset" in the kernel
driver code. These cases now invoke the function
dma_direct_set_offset(dev, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size).

Some HW devices are created as child devices of proprietary busses,
that have a bus specific policy defining how the child devices
wires representing the devices ID are translated into IOMMU and
IRQ controllers device IDs.
Current IORT code provides translations for:
- PCI devices, where the device ID is well identified at bus level
as the requester ID (RID)
- Platform devices that are endpoint devices where the device ID is
retrieved from the ACPI object IORT mappings (Named components single
mappings). A platform device is represented in IORT as a named
component node
For devices that are child devices of proprietary busses the IORT
firmware represents the bus node as a named component node in IORT
and it is up to that named component node to define in/out bus
specific ID translations for the bus child devices that are
allocated and created in a bus specific manner.
In order to make IORT ID translations available for proprietary
bus child devices, the current ACPI (and IORT) code must be
augmented to provide an additional ID parameter to acpi_dma_configure()
representing the child devices input ID. This ID is bus specific
and it is retrieved in bus specific code.
By adding an ID parameter to acpi_dma_configure(), the IORT
code can map the child device ID to an IOMMU stream ID through
the IORT named component representing the bus in/out ID mappings.

The PCI bus domain number (used in the iort_match_node_callback() -
pci_domain_nr() call) is cascaded through the PCI bus hierarchy at PCI
bus enumeration time, therefore there is no need in iort_find_dev_node()
to walk the PCI bus upwards to grab the root bus to be passed to
iort_scan_node(), the device->bus PCI bus pointer will do.
Remove this useless code.

iort_get_device_domain() is PCI specific but it need not be,
since it can be used to retrieve IRQ domain nexus of any kind
by adding an irq_domain_bus_token input to it.
Make it PCI agnostic by also renaming the requestor ID input
to a more generic ID name.

When the iort_match_node_callback is invoked for a named component
the match should be executed upon a device with an ACPI companion.
For devices with no ACPI companion set-up the ACPI device tree must be
walked in order to find the first parent node with a companion set and
check the parent node against the named component entry to check whether
there is a match and therefore an IORT node describing the in/out ID
translation for the device has been found.

An IORT PMCG node can have no ID mapping if its overflow interrupt is
wire based therefore the code that parses the PMCG node can not assume
the node will always have a single mapping present at index 0.
Fix iort_get_id_mapping_index() by checking for an overflow interrupt
and mapping count.

The ID mapping table structure of the IORT table describes the size of
a range using a num_ids field carrying the number of IDs in the region
minus one. This has been misinterpreted in the past in the parsing code,
and firmware is known to have shipped where this results in an ambiguity,
where regions that should be adjacent have an overlap of one value.
So let's work around this by detecting this case specifically: when
resolving an ID translation, allow one that matches right at the end of
a multi-ID region to be superseded by a subsequent one.
To prevent potential regressions on broken firmware that happened to
work before, only take the subsequent match into account if it occurs
at the start of a mapping region.

Where IORT nodes for named components can describe simple DMA limits
expressed as the number of address bits a device can drive, _DMA methods
in AML can express more complex topologies, involving DMA translation in
particular.
Currently, we only take this _DMA method into account if it appears on a
ACPI device node describing a PCIe root complex, but it is perfectly
acceptable to use them for named components as well, so let's ensure
we take them into account in those cases too.
Note that such named components are expected to reside under a
pseudo-bus node such as the ACPI0004 container device, which should be
providing the _DMA method as well as a _CRS (as mandated by the ACPI
spec). This is not enforced by the code however.

The IORT specification [0] (Section 3, table 4, page 9) defines the
'Number of IDs' as 'The number of IDs in the range minus one'.
However, the IORT ID mapping function iort_id_map() treats the 'Number
of IDs' field as if it were the full IDs mapping count, with the
following check in place to detect out of boundary input IDs:
InputID >= Input base + Number of IDs
This check is flawed in that it considers the 'Number of IDs' field as
the full number of IDs mapping and disregards the 'minus one' from
the IDs count.
The correct check in iort_id_map() should be implemented as:
InputID > Input base + Number of IDs
this implements the specification correctly but unfortunately it breaks
existing firmwares that erroneously set the 'Number of IDs' as the full
IDs mapping count rather than IDs mapping count minus one.
e.g.
PCI hostbridge mapping entry 1:
Input base: 0x1000
ID Count: 0x100
Output base: 0x1000
Output reference: 0xC4 //ITS reference
PCI hostbridge mapping entry 2:
Input base: 0x1100
ID Count: 0x100
Output base: 0x2000
Output reference: 0xD4 //ITS reference
Two mapping entries which the second entry's Input base = the first
entry's Input base + ID count, so for InputID 0x1100 and with the
correct InputID check in place in iort_id_map() the kernel would map
the InputID to ITS 0xC4 not 0xD4 as it would be expected.
Therefore, to keep supporting existing flawed firmwares, introduce a
workaround that instructs the kernel to use the old InputID range check
logic in iort_id_map(), so that we can support both firmwares written
with the flawed 'Number of IDs' logic and the correct one as defined in
the specifications.

Add support for SMMU drivers built as modules to the ACPI/IORT device
probing path, by deferring the probe of the master if the SMMU driver is
known to exist but has not been loaded yet. Given that the IORT code
registers a platform device for each SMMU that it discovers, we can
easily trigger the udev based autoloading of the SMMU drivers by making
the platform device identifier part of the module alias.

Using a mask to represent bus DMA constraints has a set of limitations.
The biggest one being it can only hold a power of two (minus one). The
DMA mapping code is already aware of this and treats dev->bus_dma_mask
as a limit. This quirk is already used by some architectures although
still rare.
With the introduction of the Raspberry Pi 4 we've found a new contender
for the use of bus DMA limits, as its PCIe bus can only address the
lower 3GB of memory (of a total of 4GB). This is impossible to represent
with a mask. To make things worse the device-tree code rounds non power
of two bus DMA limits to the next power of two, which is unacceptable in
this case.
In the light of this, rename dev->bus_dma_mask to dev->bus_dma_limit all
over the tree and treat it as such. Note that dev->bus_dma_limit should
contain the higher accessible DMA address.

Commit 36a2ba0775 ("ACPI/IORT: Reject platform device creation on NUMA
node mapping failure") introduced a local variable 'node' in
arm_smmu_v3_set_proximity() that shadows the struct acpi_iort_node
pointer function parameter.
Execution was unaffected but it is prone to errors and can lead
to subtle bugs.
Rename the local variable to prevent any issue.

Root complex node in IORT has a bit telling whether it supports ATS or
not. Store this bit in the IOMMU fwspec when setting up a device, so it
can be accessed later by an IOMMU driver. In the future we'll probably
want to store this bit at the host bridge or SMMU rather than in each
endpoint.

HiSilicon erratum 162001800 describes the limitation of
SMMUv3 PMCG implementation on HiSilicon Hip08 platforms.
On these platforms, the PMCG event counter registers
(SMMU_PMCG_EVCNTRn) are read only and as a result it
is not possible to set the initial counter period value
on event monitor start.
To work around this, the current value of the counter
is read and used for delta calculations. OEM information
from ACPI header is used to identify the affected hardware
platforms.

When executed for a PCI_ROOT_COMPLEX type, iort_match_node_callback()
expects the opaque pointer argument to be a PCI bus device. At the
moment rc_dma_get_range() passes the PCI endpoint instead of the bus,
and we've been lucky to have pci_domain_nr(ptr) return 0 instead of
crashing. Pass the bus device to iort_scan_node().

Remove PCI dependent code out of iort.c when CONFIG_PCI is not defined.
A quick search reveals the following functions:
1. pci_request_acs()
2. pci_domain_nr()
3. pci_is_root_bus()
4. to_pci_dev()
Both pci_domain_nr() and pci_is_root_bus() are defined in linux/pci.h.
pci_domain_nr() is a stub function when CONFIG_PCI is not set and
pci_is_root_bus() just returns a reference to a structure member which
is still valid without CONFIG_PCI set.
to_pci_dev() is a macro that expands to container_of.
pci_request_acs() is the only code that gets pulled in from drivers/pci/*.c

Now that we can track upstream DMA constraints properly with
bus_dma_mask instead of trying (and failing) to maintain it in
coherent_dma_mask, it doesn't make much sense for the firmware code to
be touching the latter at all. It's merely papering over bugs wherein a
driver has failed to call dma_set_coherent_mask() *and* the bus code has
not initialised any default value.
We don't really want to encourage more drivers coercing dma_mask so
we'll continue to fix that up if necessary, but add a warning to help
flush out any such buggy bus code that remains.

IORT revision D allows PCI root complex nodes to specify a memory
address size limit equivalently to named components, to help describe
straightforward integrations which don't really warrant a full-blown
_DMA method. Now that our headers are up-to-date, plumb it in.
If both _DMA and an address size limit are present, we would always
expect the former to be a more specific subset of the latter (since it
makes little sense for a _DMA range to involve bits which IORT says
aren't wired up), thus we can save calculating an explicit intersection
of the two effective masks and simply use short-circuit logic instead.

To defeat ACPICA<->kernel merge order dependencies a preprocessor define
value was introduced in the IORT compilation unit according to IORT
revision C, IORT_SMMU_V3_CAVIUM_CN99XX, so that even if the value was
not defined in ACPICA headers the IORT kernel layer would still be able
to function and use it.
Since commit 0c2021c047 ("ACPICA: IORT: Update SMMU models for
revision C") finally added the define in ACPICA headers, as required by
ACPICA IORT support, the preprocessor definition in the IORT kernel
compilation unit has become obsolete and can be removed.

In IORT issue C SMMUv3 IORT nodes gained an additional field (DeviceID
mapping index) so that the SMMUv3 can describe its MSI interrupts.
Referring to it in the kernel requires ACPICA changes and in order
to prevent kernel<->ACPICA dependencies kernel code depending on the
SMMUv3 DeviceID mapping index field was guarded with an ACPICA version
conditional.
ACPICA changes introducing DeviceID mapping index in the IORT structs
were integrated in the kernel with:
commit 4c106aa411 ("ACPICA: iasl: Add SMMUv3 device ID mapping index
support")
so the temporary ACPICA guard has become stale and can be removed.

On some platforms msi parent address regions have to be excluded from
normal IOVA allocation in that they are detected and decoded in a HW
specific way by system components and so they cannot be considered normal
IOVA address space.
Add a helper function that retrieves ITS address regions - the msi
parent - through IORT device <-> ITS mappings and reserves it so that
these regions will not be translated by IOMMU and will be excluded from
IOVA allocations. The function checks for the smmu model number and
only applies the msi reservation if the platform requires it.

ITS specific mappings for SMMUv3/PMCG components can be retrieved
through special index mapping entries introduced in IORT revision C.
Introduce a new API iort_set_device_domain() to set the MSI domain for
SMMUv3/PMCG nodes (extendable to any future IORT node requiring special
index ITS mapping entries) that represent MSI through special index
mappings in order to enable MSI support for the devices their nodes
represent.

IORT revision C introduced a mapping entry binding to describe ITS
device ID mapping for SMMUv3 MSI interrupts.
Enable the single mapping flag (ie that is used by SMMUv3 component for
its special index mappings) for the SMMUv3 node in the IORT mapping API
and add IORT code to handle special index mapping entry for the SMMUv3
IORT nodes to enable their MSI interrupts. In case the ACPICA for
SMMUv3 device ID mapping is not ready, use the ACPICA version as a guard
for function iort_get_id_mapping_index().

IORT revision C introduced SMMUv3 and PMCG MSI support by adding
specific mapping entries in the SMMUv3/PMCG subtables to retrieve
the device ID and the ITS group it maps to for a given SMMUv3/PMCG
IORT node.
Introduce a mapping function (ie iort_get_id_mapping_index()), that
for a given IORT node looks up if an ITS specific ID mapping entry
exists and if so retrieve the corresponding mapping index in the IORT
node mapping array.
Since an ITS specific index mapping can be present for an IORT
node that is not a leaf node (eg SMMUv3 - to describe its own
ITS device ID) special handling is required for two steps mapping
cases such as PCI/NamedComponent--->SMMUv3--->ITS because the SMMUv3
ITS specific index mapping entry should be skipped to prevent the
IORT API from considering the mapping entry as a regular mapping one.

Current IORT code provides a function (ie iort_get_fwnode())
which looks up a struct fwnode_handle pointer through a
struct acpi_iort_node pointer for SMMU components but it
lacks a function that implements the reverse look-up, namely
struct fwnode_handle* -> struct acpi_iort_node*.
Devices that are not IORT named components cannot be retrieved through
their associated IORT named component scan interface because they just
are not represented in the ACPI namespace; the reverse look-up is
therefore required for all platform devices that represent IORT nodes
(eg SMMUs) so that the struct acpi_iort_node* can be retrieved from the
struct device->fwnode pointer.

The way current IORT code initializes platform devices for SMMU nodes
is somewhat tied (mostly for naming convention) to the SMMU nodes
themselves but it need not be in that it is completely generic and
can easily be made so by structures renaming and code reshuffling.
Rework IORT platform devices initialization code to make the functions
and data structures SMMU agnostic.
No functional changes intended.

commit f6810c15cf ("iommu/arm-smmu: Clean up early-probing
workarounds") removed kernel code that was allowing to initialize
and probe the SMMU devices early (ie earlier than PCI devices, through
linker script callback entries) in the boot process because it was not
needed any longer in that the SMMU devices/drivers now support deferred
probing.
Since the SMMUs probe routines are also in charge of requesting global
PCI ACS kernel enablement, commit f6810c15cf ("iommu/arm-smmu: Clean
up early-probing workarounds") also postponed PCI ACS enablement to
SMMUs devices probe time, which is too late given that PCI devices needs
to detect if PCI ACS is enabled to init the respective capability
through the following call path:
pci_device_add()
-> pci_init_capabilities()
-> pci_enable_acs()
Add code in the ACPI IORT SMMU platform devices initialization path
(that is called before ACPI PCI enumeration) to detect if there
exists firmware mappings to map root complexes ids to SMMU ids
and if so enable ACS for the system.

When a PCI device has DMA quirks, we need to ensure that an upstream
IOMMU knows about all possible aliases, since the presence of a DMA
quirk does not preclude the device still also emitting transactions
(e.g. MSIs) on its 'real' RID. Similarly, the rules for bridge aliasing
are relatively complex, and some bridges may only take ownership of
transactions under particular transient circumstances, leading again to
multiple RIDs potentially being seen at the IOMMU for the given device.
Take all this into account in iort_iommu_configure() by mapping every
RID produced by the alias walk, not just whichever one comes out last.
Since adding any more internal PTR_ERR() juggling would have confused me
no end, a bit of refactoring happens in the process - we know where to
find the ops if everything succeeded, so we're free to just pass regular
error codes around up until then.

how many address bits a given device is capable of generating
to address memory.

Current ACPI DMA configuration set-up device DMA capabilities through
kernel defaults that do not take into account platform specific DMA
configurations reported by firmware.
By leveraging the ACPI acpi_dev_get_dma_resources() API, add code
in acpi_dma_configure() to retrieve the DMA regions to correctly
set-up PCI devices DMA parameters.
Rework the ACPI IORT kernel API to make sure they can accommodate
the DMA set-up required by firmware. By making PCI devices DMA set-up
ACPI IORT specific, the kernel is shielded from unwanted regressions
that could be triggered by parsing DMA resources on arches that were
previously ignoring them (ie x86/ia64), leaving kernel behaviour
unchanged on those arches.

Cavium ThunderX2 SMMU doesn't support MSI and also doesn't have unique irq
lines for gerror, eventq and cmdq-sync.
New named irq "combined" is set as a errata workaround, which allows to

Since those IORT entries were the only iort_node_match() interface
users, the iort_node_match() became obsolete and can then be removed.

With IOMMU probe deferral, iort_iommu_configure can be called
multiple times for the same device. Hence we have a check
to see if the device's fwspec is already translated and return
the iommu_ops from that directly. But the check is wrongly
placed in iort_iommu_xlate, which breaks devices with multiple
sids. Move the check to iort_iommu_configure.

While deferring the probe of IOMMU masters, xlate and
add_device callbacks called from iort_iommu_configure
can pass back error values like -ENODEV, which means
the IOMMU cannot be connected with that master for real
reasons. Before the IOMMU probe deferral, all such errors
were ignored. Now all those errors are propagated back,
killing the master's probe for such errors. Instead ignore
all the errors except EPROBE_DEFER, which is the only one
of concern and let the master work without IOMMU, thus
restoring the old behavior. Also make explicit that
acpi_dma_configure handles only -EPROBE_DEFER from
iort_iommu_configure.

The IOMMU probe deferral IORT rework had to add code in
iort_iommu_configure() and iort_iommu_xlate() that requires
the IOMMU_API to be selected in order to compile and work.
Stub out the pieces of code that depend on CONFIG_IOMMU_API
to be selected to prevent compilation failures such as:

drivers/acpi/arm64/iort.c:647:22: error: 'struct iommu_fwspec' has no
member named 'ops'
by wrapping the code in static inline functions that provide a NOP
implementation when CONFIG_IOMMU_API is not selected.

The IORT linker section introduced by commit 34ceea275f
("ACPI/IORT: Introduce linker section for IORT entries probing")
was needed to make sure SMMU drivers are registered (and therefore
probed) in the kernel before devices using the SMMU have a chance
to probe in turn.
Through the introduction of deferred IOMMU configuration the linker
section based IORT probing infrastructure is not needed any longer, in
that device/SMMU probe dependencies are managed through the probe
deferral mechanism, making the IORT linker section infrastructure
unused, so that it can be removed.
Remove the unused IORT linker section probing infrastructure
from the kernel to complete the ACPI IORT IOMMU configure probe
deferral mechanism implementation.

This is an equivalent to the DT's handling of the iommu master's probe
with deferred probing when the corrsponding iommu is not probed yet.
The lack of a registered IOMMU can be caused by the lack of a driver for
the IOMMU, the IOMMU device probe not having been performed yet, having
been deferred, or having failed.
The first case occurs when the firmware describes the bus master and
IOMMU topology correctly but no device driver exists for the IOMMU yet
or the device driver has not been compiled in. Return NULL, the caller
will configure the device without an IOMMU.
The second and third cases are handled by deferring the probe of the bus
master device which will eventually get reprobed after the IOMMU.
The last case is currently handled by deferring the probe of the bus
master device as well. A mechanism to either configure the bus master
device without an IOMMU or to fail the bus master device probe depending
on whether the IOMMU is optional or mandatory would be a good
enhancement.

The IOMMU probe deferral implementation requires a mechanism to detect
if drivers for SMMU components are built-in in the kernel to detect
whether IOMMU configuration for a given device should be deferred (ie
SMMU drivers present but still not probed) or not (drivers not present).
Add a simple function to IORT to detect if SMMU drivers for SMMU
components managed by IORT are built-in in the kernel.

This driver adds support for parsing SBSA Generic Watchdog timer
in GTDT, parse all info in SBSA Generic Watchdog Structure in GTDT,
and creating a platform device with that information.
This allows the operating system to obtain device data from the
resource of platform device. The platform device named "sbsa-gwdt"
can be used by the ARM SBSA Generic Watchdog driver.

On platforms booting with ACPI, architected memory-mapped timers'
configuration data is provided by firmware through the ACPI GTDT
static table.
The clocksource architected timer kernel driver requires a firmware
interface to collect timer configuration and configure its driver.
this infrastructure is present for device tree systems, but it is
missing on systems booting with ACPI.
Implement the kernel infrastructure required to parse the static
ACPI GTDT table so that the architected timer clocksource driver can
make use of it on systems booting with ACPI, therefore enabling
the corresponding timers configuration.

This patch adds support for parsing arch timer info in GTDT,
provides some kernel APIs to parse all the PPIs and
always-on info in GTDT and export them.
By this driver, we can simplify arm_arch_timer drivers, and
separate the ACPI GTDT knowledge from it.

By allowing platform MSI domain to be created on ACPI platforms,
a platform device MSI domain can be set-up when it is probed.
In order to do that, the MSI domain the platform device connects
to should be retrieved, so the iort_get_platform_device_domain() is
introduced to retrieve the domain from the IORT kernel layer.
With the domain retrieved, we need a proper way to set the
domain to platform device.
Given that some platform devices (irqchips) require the MSI irqdomain
to be their interrupt parent domain, the MSI irqdomain should be
determined before platform device is probed but after the platform
device is allocated which means that the code setting up the MSI
irqdomain, ie acpi_configure_pmsi_domain() should be called in
acpi_platform_notify() (that is triggered after adding a device but
before the respective driver is probed) for the platform MSI domain
code set-up path to work properly.
