s390 introduced the Processor Activity Instrumentation (PAI) counter
facility on LPAR and virtual machines z/VM for models 3931 and 3932.
These counters are stored as raw data in the perf.data file and are
displayed with:
# perf report -i /tmp//perfout-635468 -D | grep Counter
Counter:007 <unknown> Value:0x00000000000186a0
Counter:032 <unknown> Value:0x0000000000000001
Counter:032 <unknown> Value:0x0000000000000001
Counter:032 <unknown> Value:0x0000000000000001
#
However on z/VM virtual machines, the counter names are not retrieved
from the PMU and are shown as '<unknown>'. This is caused by the CPU
string saved in the mapfile.csv for this machine:
^IBM.393[12].*3\.7.[[:xdigit:]]+$,3,cf_z16,core
This string contains the CPU Measurement facility first and second
version number and authorization level (3\.7.[[:xdigit:]]+). These
numbers do not apply to the PAI counter facility. In fact they can be
omitted.
Shorten the CPU identification string for this machine to manufacturer
and model. This is sufficient for all PMU devices.
Output after:
# perf report -i /tmp//perfout-635468 -D | grep Counter
Counter:007 km_aes_128 Value:0x00000000000186a0

Commit e0b23af82d ("perf list: Add PMU pai_crypto event
description for IBM z16") introduced the "Processor Activity
Instrumentation" for cryptographic counters for z16. The PMU device
driver exports the counters via sysfs files listed in directory
/sys/devices/pai_crypto.
To specify an event from that PMU, use 'perf stat -e pai_crypto/XXX/'.
However the JSON file mentioned in above commit exports the counter
decriptions in file pmu-events/arch/s390/cf_z16/pai.json. Rename this
file to pmu-events/arch/s390/cf_z16/pai_crypto.json to make the naming
consistent.
Now 'perf list' shows the counter names under pai_crypto section:
pai_crypto:
CRYPTO_ALL
[CRYPTO ALL. Unit: pai_crypto]
...
Output before was
pai:
CRYPTO_ALL
[CRYPTO ALL. Unit: pai_crypto]
...

Remove trailing commas. A later commit will make the parser more strict
and these will not be valid anymore.

Change the counter name DLFT_CCERROR to DLFT_CCFINISH on IBM z15.
This counter counts completed DEFLATE instructions with exit code
0, 1 or 2. Since exit code 0 means success and exit code 1 or 2
indicate errors, change the counter name to avoid confusion.
This counter is incremented each time the DEFLATE instruction
completed regardless if an error was detected or not.

Add support for new deflate counters:
- Counter 247: cycles CPU spent obtaining access to Deflate unit
- Counter 252: cycles CPU is using Deflate unit
- Counter 264: Increments by one for every DEFLATE CONVERSION CALL
instruction executed.
- Counter 265: Increments by one for every DEFLATE CONVERSION CALL
instruction executed that ended in Condition Codes
0, 1 or 2.
Also adjust the some crypto counter description to latest documentation.

Command
# perf list --long-desc pmu
lists the long description of the available counters. For counter
named L1D_RO_EXCL_WRITES on machine types 3906 and 3907 the long
description contains the counter number 'Counter:128 Name:'
prefix. This is wrong.
The fix changes the description text and removes this prefix.

Make the type field in pmu-events/arch/s390/mapfile.cvs more generic to
match the created cpuid string for s390.
The pattern also checks for the counter first version number and counter
second version number ([13]\.[1-5]) and the authorization field which
follows.
These numbers do not exist in the cpuid identification string when perf
commands are executed on a z/VM environment (which does not support CPU
counter measurement facility).
CPUID string for LPAR:
cpuid : IBM,3906,704,M03,3.5,002f
CPUID string for z/VM:
cpuid : IBM,2964,702,N96
This allows the removal of s390 specific cpuid compare code and uses the
common compare function with its regular expression matching algorithm.
