Assumption that chain DMA module starts the link DMA when 1ms of
data is available from host is not correct. Instead the firmware
chain DMA module fills the link DMA with initial buffer of zeroes
and the host and link DMAs are started at the same time.
This results in a small error in delay calculation. This can become a
more severe problem if host DMA has delays that exceed 1ms. This results
in negative delay to be calculated and bogus values reported to
applications. This can confuse some applications like
alsa_conformance_test.
Fix the issue by correctly calculating the firmware chain DMA
preamble size and initializing the start offset to this value.

When the sampling rates going in (host) and out (dai) from the DSP
are different, the IPC4 delay reporting does not work correctly.
Add support for this case by scaling the all raw position values to
a common timebase before calculating real-time delay for the PCM.

For some reason we endup with setting soundwire port for
HPHL_COMP and HPHR_COMP as zero, this can potentially result

In the case of static pipelines, freeing the widgets in the pipelines
that were not suspended after freeing the scheduler widgets results in
errors because the secondary cores are powered off when the scheduler
widgets are freed. Fix this by tearing down the leftover pipelines before
powering off the secondary cores.

wcd934x_codec_parse_data() contains a device reference count leak in
of_slim_get_device() where device_find_child() increases the reference
count of the device but this reference is not properly decreased in
the success path. Add put_device() in wcd934x_codec_parse_data() and
add devm_add_action_or_reset() in the probe function, which ensures
that the reference count of the device is correctly managed.
Memory leak in regmap_init_slimbus() as the allocated regmap is not
released when the device is removed. Using devm_regmap_init_slimbus()
instead of regmap_init_slimbus() to ensure automatic regmap cleanup on
device removal.
Calling path: of_slim_get_device() -> of_find_slim_device() ->
device_find_child(). As comment of device_find_child() says, 'NOTE:
you will need to drop the reference with put_device() after use.'.

HP-Spectre 14t-ea100 model has no speaker output unless booting
previously from Windows on dual boot, a reboot while on Linux will
stop the speakers working. Applying the existing quirk for HP Spectre
X360 EU0xxx seems fixing this speaker problem.

All firmware for the Lemans platform aka QCS9100 aka QCS9075 is for
historical reasons located in the qcom/sa8775p/ subdir inside
linux-firmware. The only exceptions to this rule are audio topology
files. While it's not too late, change the subdir to point to the
sa8775p/ subdir, so that all firmware for that platform is present at
the same location.

In create_sdw_dailink() check that sof_end->codec_info->add_sidecar
is not NULL before calling it.
The original code assumed that if include_sidecar is true, the codec
on that link has an add_sidecar callback. But there could be other
codecs on the same link that do not have an add_sidecar callback.

In ipc4_ssp_dai_config_pcm_params_match() when comparing params_channels()
against hw_config->tdm_slots the comparison should be a <= not a ==.
The number of TDM slots must be enough for the number of required channels.
But it can be greater. There are various reason why a I2S/TDM link has more
TDM slots than a particular audio stream needs.
The original comparison would fail on systems that had more TDM slots.

snd_pcm_group_lock_irq() acquires a spinlock_t and disables interrupts
via spin_lock_irq(). This also implicitly disables the handling of
softirqs such as TIMER_SOFTIRQ.
On PREEMPT_RT softirqs are preemptible and spin_lock_irq() does not
disable them. That means a timer can be invoked during spin_lock_irq()
on the same CPU. Due to synchronisations reasons local_bh_disable() has
a per-CPU lock named softirq_ctrl.lock which synchronizes individual
softirq against each other.
syz-bot managed to trigger a lockdep report where softirq_ctrl.lock is
acquired in hrtimer_cancel() in addition to hrtimer_run_softirq(). This
is a possible deadlock.
The softirq_ctrl.lock can not be made part of spin_lock_irq() as this
would lead to too much synchronisation against individual threads on the
system. To avoid the possible deadlock, softirqs must be manually
disabled before the lock is acquired.
Disable softirqs before the lock is acquired on PREEMPT_RT.

Change the 'ret' variable from u16 to int to store negative error codes or
zero returned by lx_message_send_atomic().
Storing the negative error codes in unsigned type, doesn't cause an issue
at runtime but it's ugly as pants. Additionally, assigning negative error
codes to unsigned type may trigger a GCC warning when the -Wsign-conversion
flag is enabled.
No effect on runtime.

The previous commit 0718a78f6a ("ALSA: usb-audio: Kill timer properly at
removal") patched a UAF issue caused by the error timer.
However, because the error timer kill added in this patch occurs after the
endpoint delete, a race condition to UAF still occurs, albeit rarely.
Additionally, since kill-cleanup for urb is also missing, freed memory can
be accessed in interrupt context related to urb, which can cause UAF.
Therefore, to prevent this, error timer and urb must be killed before
freeing the heap memory.

The sanity check previously added to uaudio_transfer_buffer_setup()
assumed the allocated buffer being linear-mapped. But the buffer
allocated via usb_alloc_coherent() isn't always so, rather to be used
with (SG-)DMA API. This leaded to a false-positive warning and the
driver failed to work.
Actually uaudio_transfer_buffer_setup() deals only with the DMA-API
addresses for MEM_XFER_BUF type, while other callers of
uaudio_iommu_map() are with pages with physical addresses for
MEM_EVENT_RING and MEM_XFER_RING types. So this patch splits the
mapping helper function to two different ones, uaudio_iommu_map() for
the DMA pages and uaudio_iommu_map_pa() for the latter, in order to
handle mapping differently for each type. Along with it, the
unnecessary address check that caused probe error is dropped, too.

Adding HDMI-In capture support for the PTL products which doesn't have
onboard I2S codec. But need to support HDMI-In capture via I2S and
audio playback through HDMI/DP monitor.

Use dev_get_drvdata(dev->parent) instead of dev_get_platdata(dev)
to correctly obtain acp_chip_info members in the acp I2S driver.
Previously, some members were not updated properly due to incorrect
data access, which could potentially lead to null pointer
dereferences.
This issue was missed in the earlier commit
("ASoC: amd: acp: Fix NULL pointer deref in acp_i2s_set_tdm_slot"),
which only addressed set_tdm_slot(). This change ensures that all
relevant functions correctly retrieve acp_chip_info, preventing
further null pointer dereference issues.

The QCS8275 board is based on Qualcomm's QCS8300 SoC family, and all
supported firmware files are located in the qcs8300 directory. The
sound topology and ALSA UCM configuration files have also been migrated
from the qcs8275 directory to the actual SoC qcs8300 directory in
linux-firmware. With the current setup, the sound topology fails
to load, resulting in sound card registration failure.
This patch updates the driver match data to use the correct driver name
qcs8300 for the qcs8275-sndcard, ensuring that the sound card driver
correctly loads the sound topology and ALSA UCM configuration files
from the qcs8300 directory.

This patch adds a new fixup for the ALC295 codec on some Dell
laptops that use the TAS2781 I2C amplifier.
The fixup correctly initializes the amplifier and pins, allowing
sound to work on all speakers of these devices.
The fixup chain is added to the relevant quirk entries for
Dell Polaris models.

A a potential race condition reported by one of my customers that leads to
a NULL pointer dereference, where the call to efi.get_variable should be
guarded with efi_rt_services_supported() to ensure that function exists.

Add support for configuring the DAI format on MI2S interfaces,
this enhancement allows setting the appropriate bit clock and
frame clock polarity, ensuring correct audio data transmission
over MI2S.

The q6i2s_set_fmt() function was defined but never linked into the
I2S DAI operations, resulting DAI format settings is being ignored
during stream setup. This change fixes the issue by properly linking
the .set_fmt handler within the DAI ops.

A bug reported by one of my customers that the order of TAS2781
calibrated-data is incorrect, the correct way is to move R0_Low
and insert it between R0 and InvR0.

Just some minor SDCA bug fixes and some minor structure reordering to
improve the padding.
Commit bb4a0f497b ("ASoC: codecs: lpass: Drop unused
AIF_INVALID first DAI identifier") removed first entry in enum with DAI
identifiers, because it looked unused. Turns out that there is a
relation between DAI ID and "WSA RX0 Mux"-like kcontrols (which use
"rx_mux_text" array). That "rx_mux_text" array used first three entries
of DAI IDs enum, with value '0' being invalid.
The value passed tp "WSA RX0 Mux"-like kcontrols was used as DAI ID and
set to configure active channel count and mask, which are arrays indexed
by DAI ID.
After removal of first AIF_INVALID DAI identifier, this kcontrol was
updating wrong entries in active channel count and mask arrays which was
visible in reduced quality (distortions) during speaker playback on
several boards like Lenovo T14s laptop and Qualcomm SM8550-based boards.

The MBQ size function returns an integer representing the size of a
Control. Currently if the Control is not found the function will return
false which makes little sense. Correct this typo to return -EINVAL.

If earlier opening of source graph fails (e.g. ADSP rejects due to
incorrect audioreach topology), the graph is closed and
"dai_data->graph[dai->id]" is assigned NULL. Preparing the DAI for sink
graph continues though and next call to q6apm_lpass_dai_prepare()
receives dai_data->graph[dai->id]=NULL leading to NULL pointer

Minor bug fixes for a couple of older devices reported by some users.
Mostly this centers around the automatic PLL configuration getting the
wrong values due to rounding.
The dev_err message is reporting an error about capture streams however
it is using the incorrect variable num_playback instead of num_capture.
Fix this by using the correct variable num_capture.

devm_ioremap_resource does not return NULL on error
but an error pointer so we need to use IS_ERR to check
the return code.
While at it also pass the error code to dev_err_probe
to improve logging.
