Now that recipes default to S in UNPACKDIR, recipetool and devtool should
do the same.
There was some discussion about changing devtool to simply setting
UNPACKDIR via bbappend to a workspace and running unpack task directly;
currently it has a bunch of convoluted path calculations, substitutions,
moving source trees around and and special casing (devtool-source.bbclass
in particular is an unpleasant hack).
This should definitely be done; but right now we can simply tweak existing
code which at least doesn't make it worse.

Removing all the S = ${WORKDIR}/git assignments works because BB_GIT_DEFAULT_DESTSUFFIX
is set to match S from bitbake.conf (which itself is set to match typical tarball
releases).
A few recipes are setting S to a sub-directory of the git tree and need
to be adjusted accordingly.
bzip2 recipe is fetching a tarball and separately cloning tests;
adjust the recipe to put the latter into 'bzip2-tests', instead of 'git'.
devupstream.bbclass no longer needs to rewrite S, and is adjusted accordingly.
Adjust scripts/lib/recipetool/append.py to not hardcode 'git' as unpack
destination.
Adjust kernel-yocto.bbclass to use the git unpack variable instead
of hardcoding 'git' (there's also removal of repetition of
string constants and a correction of workdir/unpackdir mismatch in
one of the if-else branches).
Ensure build-appliance-image recipe does not use 'git' as checkout directory for
poky repo, but rather explicitly name it 'poky'.
Ensure reproducible.py code that looks for git repositories does not
hardcode 'git' but uses the destination set by BB_GIT_DEFAULT_DESTSUFFIX.
Ensure recipetool does not write out unneeded S settings into newly
created recipes that fetch from git.
Adjust selftest to not hardcode 'git' as unpack directory.

appendsrc function relies on oe.recipeutils.bbappend_recipe to
copy files and add the corresponding entries in SRC_URI.
Currently, appendsrc function build itself the new SRC_URI entry to add the
correct subdir param, and gives it using the extralines parameter.
This has 2 drawbacks:
- oe.recipeutils.bbappend_recipe can already do this if we specify the
correct params, so we have duplicate code
- the duplicated code is not fully functional: for example, it doesn't
take into account the -m/--machine parameter
So fix this by not using extralines but give correctly formatted params.
Also remove the check for already existing entries as
oe.recipeutils.bbappend_recipe already implement it
The new bbappend file now have the SRC_URI entry after the
FILESEXTRAPATHS so fix the selftest.
Update test_recipetool_appendsrcfile_existing_in_src_uri_diff_params
test because recipetool appendsrcfiles used to not add new src_uri entry
if the entry already exist even with different parameters while
oe.recipeutils.bbappend_recipe adds it if parameters are different (and
remove the old entry)

Adding the support of submodules required a lot of changes on the
internal data structures:
* initial_rev/startcommit used as a starting point for looking at new
/ updated commits was replaced by a dictionary where the keys are the
submodule name ("." for main repo) and the values are the
initial_rev/startcommit
* the extractPatches function now extracts patch for the main repo and
for all submodules and stores them in a hierarchical way describing the
submodule path
* store initial_rev/commit also for all submodules inside the recipe
bbappend file
* _export_patches now returns dictionaries that contains the 'patchdir'
parameter (if any). This parameter is used to add the correct
'patchdir=' parameter on the recipe
Also, recipe can extract a secondary git tree inside the workdir.
By default, at the end of the do_patch function, there is a hook in
devtool that commits everything that was modified to have a clean
repository. It uses the command: "git add .; git commit ..."
The issue here is that, it adds the secondary git tree as a submodule
but in a wrong way. Doing "git add <git dir>" declares a submodule but do
not adds a url associated to it, and all following "git submodule foreach"
commands will fail.
So detect that a git tree was extracted inside S and correctly add it
using "git submodule add <url> <path>", so that it will be considered as a
regular git submodule

There is a long standing bug where FILES_INFO isn't written into pkgdata
with a package suffix. This means if the files are read into the datastore
as intended, the last one "wins".
Fix this to work as intended. Most of the call sites using the data need
to be updated to handle this and the overrides change correctly.
Also fix some other problematic references noticed along the way.

This adds SPDX license headers in place of the wide assortment of things
currently in our script headers. We default to GPL-2.0-only except for the
oeqa code where it was clearly submitted and marked as MIT on the most part
or some scripts which had the "or later" GPL versioning.
The patch also drops other obsolete bits of file headers where they were
encoountered such as editor modelines, obsolete maintainer information or
the phrase "All rights reserved" which is now obsolete and not required in
copyright headers (in this case its actually confusing for licensing as all
rights were not reserved).
More work is needed for OE-Core but this takes care of the bulk of the scripts
and meta/lib directories.
The top level LICENSE files are tweaked to match the new structure and the
SPDX naming.

Use Tinfoil.parse_recipe_file() and Tinfoil.parse_recipe() instead of
the recipeutils equivalents, and replace any local duplicate
implementations. This not only tidies up the code but also allows these
calls to work in memres mode.

Moved call of decode('utf-8') as close as possible to
call of subprocess API to avoid calling it in a lot of
other places.
Decoded binary data to utf-8 where appropriate to fix devtool
and recipetool tests in python 3 environment.

This should have been register_commands rather than register_command;
I used register_commands in devtool so lets change this here to be
consistent with that. (Since this is extensible through layers though we
need to remain compatible with the old name, so fall back to that if the
new function name isn't there.)

So far all devtool and recipetool plugins were expected
to have plugin_init function. This function is empty in
most of plugins as they don't require initialisation.
Making plugin_init optional would allow not having empty
plugin_init in every plugin.

When determining the path from WORKDIR to the extracted sources, we're using
S, but if S is in work-shared, that's problematic and won't give us good
results, so assume 'git' for that case, warning when appropriate.

If you have multilib enabled, it finds lib32-base-files instead of
base-files for test_recipetool_appendfile_basic causing a test
failure. Add a fix for this.

This adds the `appendsrcfile` and `appendsrcfiles` sub-commands, which let the
user add or replace one or more files in the recipe sources, either in a path
relative to `S` or `WORKDIR`. Each file gets added to `SRC_URI` as a file://
URI, using the subdir= parameter to specify the destination directory.
Examples:
# Adds our defconfig as file://defconfig. If it's already in SRC_URI, it
# won't be duplicated.
recipetool appendsrcfile --workdir meta-mylayer linux-mel defconfig
recipetool appendsrcfiles --workdir meta-mylayer linux-mel defconfig
# Does the same, handling the different local filename
recipetool appendsrcfile --workdir meta-mylayer linux-mel defconfig.mine defconfig
# Adds our device tree files to the source tree
recipetool appendsrcfiles --destdir arch/arm/boot/dts meta-mylayer linux-mel *.dts
Of course, for the latter example to be of use, the new dts files would need
to be added to `KERNEL_DEVICETREE` as well, and depending on the kernel,
`DEFCONFIG` or `KERNEL_DEFCONFIG` may need to be set.

* It turns out that not all versions of the file command support the -E
option - the version in Ubuntu 14.04 doesn't support it for example.
This option is supposed to force file to return an error if the file
can't be opened - since we can't rely upon it then fall back to
looking at the output instead. (The results of this issue were simply
that we didn't notice if the file was executable and give a warning,
which tripped an oe-selftest failure - so it was minor.)
* If we receive an error there's not much point looking at the output to
see what type was returned because there wasn't one.

Locating which recipe provides a file in an image that you want to
modify and then figuring out how to bbappend the recipe in order to
replace it can be a tedious process. Thus, add a new appendfile
subcommand to recipetool, providing the ability to create a bbappend
file to add/replace any file in the target system. Without the -r
option, it will search for the recipe packaging the specified file
(using pkgdata from previously built recipes). The bbappend will be
created at the appropriate path within the specified layer directory
(which may or may not be in your bblayers.conf) or if one already exists
it will be updated appropriately.
Fairly extensive oe-selftest tests are also provided.
Implements [YOCTO #6447].
