9ca15d7699 of/irq: Disable "interrupt-map" parsing for PASEMI Nemo
commit 2cf6b7d15a upstream.

Once again, we've broken PASEMI Nemo boards with its incomplete
"interrupt-map" translations. Commit 935df1bd40 ("of/irq: Factor out
parsing of interrupt-map parent phandle+args from of_irq_parse_raw()")
changed the behavior resulting in the existing work-around not taking
effect. Rework the work-around to just skip parsing "interrupt-map" up
front by using the of_irq_imap_abusers list.

b0f79bda55 of/irq: Factor out parsing of interrupt-map parent phandle+args from of_irq_parse_raw()
[ Upstream commit 935df1bd40 ]

Factor out the parsing of interrupt-map interrupt parent phandle and its
arg cells to a separate function, of_irq_parse_imap_parent(), so that it
can be used in other parsing scenarios (e.g. fw_devlink).

There was a refcount leak on non-matching entries when iterating thru
"interrupt-map" which is fixed.

0b0d5701a8 of: module: add buffer overflow check in of_modalias()
[ Upstream commit cf7385cb26 ]

In of_modalias(), if the buffer happens to be too small even for the 1st
snprintf() call, the len parameter will become negative and str parameter
(if not NULL initially) will point beyond the buffer's end. Add the buffer
overflow check after the 1st snprintf() call and fix such check after the
strlen() call (accounting for the terminating NUL char).

e4a449368a of: module: prevent NULL pointer dereference in vsnprintf()
commit a1aa5390cc upstream.

In of_modalias(), we can get passed the str and len parameters which would
cause a kernel oops in vsnprintf() since it only allows passing a NULL ptr
when the length is also 0. Also, we need to filter out the negative values
of the len parameter as these will result in a really huge buffer since
snprintf() takes size_t parameter while ours is ssize_t...

801c8b8ec5 of: dynamic: Synchronize of_changeset_destroy() with the devlink removals
commit 8917e73853 upstream.

In the following sequence:
  1) of_platform_depopulate()
  2) of_overlay_remove()

During the step 1, devices are destroyed and devlinks are removed.
During the step 2, OF nodes are destroyed but
__of_changeset_entry_destroy() can raise warnings related to missing
of_node_put():
  ERROR: memory leak, expected refcount 1 instead of 2 ...

Indeed, during the devlink removals performed at step 1, the removal
itself releasing the device (and the attached of_node) is done by a job
queued in a workqueue and so, it is done asynchronously with respect to
function calls.
When the warning is present, of_node_put() will be called but wrongly
too late from the workqueue job.

In order to be sure that any ongoing devlink removals are done before
the of_node destruction, synchronize the of_changeset_destroy() with the
devlink removals.

[ Upstream commit 782bfd03c3 ]

After commit 4a032827da ("of: property: Simplify of_link_to_phandle()"),
remote-endpoint properties created a fwnode link from the consumer device
to the supplier endpoint. This is a tiny bit inefficient (not buggy) when
trying to create device links or detecting cycles. So, improve this the
same way we improved finding the consumer of a remote-endpoint property.

[ Upstream commit f4653ec986 ]

We have a more accurate function to find the right consumer of a
remote-endpoint property instead of searching for a parent with
compatible string property. So, use that instead. While at it, make the
code to find the consumer a bit more flexible and based on the property
being parsed.

b64d09a4e8 of: Fix double free in of_parse_phandle_with_args_map
[ Upstream commit 4dde835698 ]

In of_parse_phandle_with_args_map() the inner loop that
iterates through the map entries calls of_node_put(new)
to free the reference acquired by the previous iteration
of the inner loop. This assumes that the value of "new" is
NULL on the first iteration of the inner loop.

Make sure that this is true in all iterations of the outer
loop by setting "new" to NULL after its value is assigned to "cur".

Extend the unittest to detect the double free and add an additional
test case that actually triggers this path.

76e2b215ea of: address: Fix address translation when address-size is greater than 2
[ Upstream commit 42604f8eb7 ]

With the recent addition of of_pci_prop_ranges() in commit 407d1a5192
("PCI: Create device tree node for bridge"), the ranges property can
have a 3 cells child address, a 3 cells parent address and a 2 cells
child size.

A range item property for a PCI device is filled as follow:
  <BAR_nbr> 0 0 <phys.hi> <phys.mid> <phys.low> <BAR_sizeh> <BAR_sizel>
  <-- Child --> <-- Parent (PCI definition) --> <- BAR size (64bit) -->

This allow to translate BAR addresses from the DT. For instance:
pci@0,0 {
  #address-cells = <0x03>;
  #size-cells = <0x02>;
  device_type = "pci";
  compatible = "pci11ab,100", "pciclass,060400", "pciclass,0604";
  ranges = <0x82000000 0x00 0xe8000000
            0x82000000 0x00 0xe8000000
	    0x00 0x4400000>;
  ...
  dev@0,0 {
    #address-cells = <0x03>;
    #size-cells = <0x02>;
    compatible = "pci1055,9660", "pciclass,020000", "pciclass,0200";
    /* Translations for BAR0 to BAR5 */
    ranges = <0x00 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xe8000000 0x00 0x2000000
              0x01 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xea000000 0x00 0x1000000
              0x02 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xeb000000 0x00 0x800000
              0x03 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xeb800000 0x00 0x800000
              0x04 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xec000000 0x00 0x20000
              0x05 0x00 0x00 0x82010000 0x00 0xec020000 0x00 0x2000>;
    ...
    pci-ep-bus@0 {
      #address-cells = <0x01>;
      #size-cells = <0x01>;
      compatible = "simple-bus";
      /* Translate 0xe2000000 to BAR0 and 0xe0000000 to BAR1 */
      ranges = <0xe2000000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x2000000
                0xe0000000 0x01 0x00 0x00 0x1000000>;
      ...
    };
  };
};

During the translation process, the "default-flags" map() function is
used to select the matching item in the ranges table and determine the
address offset from this matching item.
This map() function simply calls of_read_number() and when address-size
is greater than 2, the map() function skips the extra high address part
(ie part over 64bit). This lead to a wrong matching item and a wrong
offset computation.
Also during the translation itself, the extra high part related to the
parent address is not present in the translated address.

Fix the "default-flags" map() and translate() in order to take into
account the child extra high address part in map() and the parent extra
high address part in translate() and so having a correct address
translation for ranges patterns such as the one given in the example
above.

5a7319b967 of: unittest: Fix of_unittest_pci_node() kconfig dependencies
of_unittest_pci_node test depends on both CONFIG_PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES
and CONFIG_OF_OVERLAY. Move the test into the existing
CONFIG_OF_OVERLAY ifdef and rework the CONFIG_PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES
dependency to use IS_ENABLED() instead. This reduces the combinations to
build.

121b83eadd of: unittest-data: Convert remaining overlay DTS files to sugar syntax
Overlay syntactic sugar for generating target-path fragments is
supported by the version of dtc supplied with the kernel since commit
50aafd6089 ("scripts/dtc: Update to upstream version

0676aeeca5 of: unittest: Cleanup partially-applied overlays
When of_overlay_fdt_apply() fails, the changeset may be partially
applied, and the caller is still expected to call of_overlay_remove() to
clean up this partial state. However, overlay_17 is the only test that
takes care of cleaning up after an (expected) failure.

Instead of adding cleanup code to each individual test, extend
overlay_info with the optional expected return value of
of_overlay_remove(), and handle cleanup in the overlay_data_apply()
helper. While at it, simplify the end marker in the overlay_info table.

Update the expected error output for errors during the newly cleanup.

The removal check in of_unittest_apply_revert_overlay_check()
always uses the platform device overlay type, while it should use the

a9515ff4fb of: overlay: Call of_changeset_init() early
When of_overlay_fdt_apply() fails, the changeset may be partially
applied, and the caller is still expected to call of_overlay_remove() to
clean up this partial state.

However, of_overlay_apply() calls of_resolve_phandles() before
init_overlay_changeset(). Hence if the overlay fails to apply due to an
unresolved symbol, the overlay_changeset.cset.entries list is still
uninitialized, and cleanup will crash with a NULL-pointer dereference in
overlay_removal_is_ok().

Fix this by moving the call to of_changeset_init() from
init_overlay_changeset() to of_overlay_fdt_apply(), where all other
early initialization is done.

47284862bf of: overlay: Extend of_overlay_fdt_apply() to specify the target node
Currently, in an overlay fdt fragment, it needs to specify the exact
location in base DT. In another word, when the fdt fragment is generated,
the base DT location for the fragment is already known.

There is new use case that the base DT location is unknown when fdt
fragment is generated. For example, the add-on device provide a fdt
overlay with its firmware to describe its downstream devices. Because it
is add-on device which can be plugged to different systems, its firmware
will not be able to know the overlay location in base DT. Instead, the
device driver will load the overlay fdt and apply it to base DT at runtime.
In this case, of_overlay_fdt_apply() needs to be extended to specify
the target node for device driver to apply overlay fdt.
    int overlay_fdt_apply(..., struct device_node *base);

The `struct of_skipped_node_table` is used only when CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS

fab610be30 of: Refactor node and property manipulation function locking
All callers of __of_{add,remove,update}_property() and
__of_{attach,detach}_node() wrap the call with the devtree_lock
spinlock. Let's move the spinlock into the functions. This allows moving
the sysfs update functions into those functions as well.

6701c2c76a of: dynamic: Move dead property list check into property add/update functions
The changeset code checks for a property in the deadprops list when
adding/updating a property, but of_add_property() and
of_update_property() do not. As the users of these functions are pretty
simple, they have not hit this scenario or else the property lists
would get corrupted.

With this there are 3 cases of removing a property from either deadprops
or properties lists, so add a helper to find and remove a matching
property.

420f0de965 of: dynamic: Fix race in getting old property when updating property
__of_update_property() returns the existing property if there is one, but
that value is never added to the changeset. Updates work because the
existing property was also retrieved before in of_changeset_action(),
but that is racy as of_changeset_action() doesn't hold any locks. The
property could be changed before the changeset is applied.

27a02f265e of: dynamic: Refactor changeset action printing to common helpers
Several places print the changeset action with node and property
details. Refactor these into a common printing helper. The complicating
factor is some prints are debug and some are errors. Solve this with a
bit of preprocessor magic.

Some cases printed the 'cset' which was the changeset entry pointer
rather than the whole changeset itself. The changeset entry is not all that
interesting and gets obfuscated by default anyways. So just drop it.
